The Princeton Review recently named LIM College to its list of “Best Northeastern Colleges.” And it’s no wonder: our curriculum combines challenging coursework and hands-on practical experience to hone your skills and expand your mind.
At LIM College, you’ll prepare to thrive in the business of fashion. Whether you’re an undergraduate or an MBA student, you’ll learn to think critically, see the big picture and solve problems across disciplines.
Undergraduates at LIM College choose from four majors: Fashion Merchandising, Management, Marketing and Visual Merchandising. Many students also add a concentration in areas ranging from Fashion Communications to Event Planning to Styling.

Designed for entrepreneurs, executives, and rising stars in firms both large and small, the LIM College MBA program will propel your career. Leaders in the business of fashion— whether in retail, merchandising, design or marketing—need a comprehensive, top-to-bottom understanding of the entire industry. That’s just the way fashion works. And the LIM College MBA, the nation’s only MBA program devoted exclusively to the business of fashion, is the best way to prepare for a leadership role in this exciting industry.
With concentrations in Fashion Management and Entrepreneurship, the new MBA at LIM College is the first and only program of its kind in the nation. It’s customized, comprehensive, flexible, hands-on, and industry-oriented.
As Mark Mendelson, President of Ellen Tracy says, “There is a great need for a unique program such as this, given the dearth of current talent development programs in the fashion and related industries. LIM College is stepping in at a crucial time to fill this void and create leaders who can meet current challenges and successfully move our industry into the future.”
Each major is built on a strong foundation of challenging coursework in business and the liberal arts. As you explore subjects like Art History, Psychology, Business Law and Cross-Cultural Communication, you’ll learn to look beneath the surface, form opinions, and communicate effectively.
You’ll also get a healthy dose of practical experience in the form of internships – including two Work Projects and a Senior Co-op, field trips, and guest speakers. And you’ll develop the international perspective that today’s workplace demands. A global thread runs throughout our curriculum, with courses such as International Retailing and Global Management, while study-abroad programs immerse you in the fashion business and culture of Paris, London, China and other international locations.
No matter which major you choose, you’ll work closely with dedicated faculty who combine professional industry experience with a personal approach. With just eight students for every professor, LIM College offers a friendly, close-knit environment where each student is an individual.
